LJ Hooker Real Estate Agents offer specialist property services to buy, sell and rent real estate throughout Australia. LJ Hooker has more than 7,000 staff in over 700 offices across Australasia.
The Business Problem
LJ Hooker made the decision to invest in SharePoint for their business. They decided to invest in SharePoint.
- They hired a developer.
- And started building stuff – an extranet, an intranet, some applications
- They discovered no one used the applications or the intranet.
- Everyone got disillusioned.
- And eventually blamed SharePoint.
Then they realised they needed some help.
How We Helped
WebVine conducted workshops with all the departments to determine their needs. The leading question simply was ‘What is your major pain point in this department?’. The departments had no hesitation in explaining what their pain points were. WebVine then designed solutions to these problems using a whiteboard with the teams, creating some wireframes to illustrate the solution. After formulating the solution, they then built code-free solutions using SharePoint, fully embedded in the intranet.

The Business Outcome
Not only an Intranet and revamped Extranet, but because departments now work in SharePoint Engine rooms, they are also able to work with each other. They have a much more understanding of what SharePoint can offer them, and have come up with innovative ideas on how to improve things.
Everything from Franchise Applications and Franchise renewals (the life-blood of the organization), to Engine Rooms, to Social Enterprise is now on SharePoint.
