Establishing Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Foundations for Gateway Health
Gateway Health is a Community Health Organisation in north east Victoria with over 390 staff from a diverse range of backgrounds. Its mission is to enhance community health and wellbeing through accessible, high-quality services. The organisation values respect, integrity, and collaboration, focusing on health equity and addressing social determinants of health to improve patient outcomes.
The Business Problem
As a community healthcare provider, Gateway Health has nearly 400 staff across five locations with varying digital skills. The organisation needed a secure, scalable platform to connect and support staff with accessible documents and services.
With a terabyte of data residing on multiple on-premise servers that were approaching end of life and an intranet on 2013 SharePoint, Gateway needed to optimise its Microsoft 365 environment to form a solid foundation for future endeavours and comply with industry regulations.
How We Helped
Gateway Health engaged WebVine regarding a new Microsoft Tenancy and requested the implementation of necessary measures to ensure proper setup for an upcoming intranet, Microsoft Teams and collaboration with external partners.

The WebVine team then implemented these recommendations, configuring the Microsoft 365 tenant to meet Gateway Health’s requirements.

By leveraging these recommendations, Gateway Health staff can use Microsoft 365 more effectively, enhancing communication and information sharing among healthcare providers while ensuring data security. Now set up correctly, the M365 environment can be easily maintained by one staff member, minimising the need for ongoing support costs.
