10 May 2019, Sydney, Australia. Digital Transformation thought leader Marcus Dervin has taken out the gong for best IT Author at this year’s Consensus IT Writers Awards, highlighting the ongoing impact and relevance of Digital Transformation on organisations regardless of size or industry.
The awards, which celebrate diverse aspects of the Australian IT press in categories such as Best Feature, Best News, Most Controversial and Most Entertaining, were presented at PwC Barangaroo, Sydney, on 9 May 2019.
There are more than 170 Judges across the nine Consensus Awards Programs with 32 judging the Consensus IT Writers Awards. A group of these judges reviewed the book Digital Transformation from the Inside Out and unanimously conferred the Best Author Award to author Marcus Dervin.
“If you are a C-level executive worried about the digital revolution taking place in your industry or your competitors’ organisations or both, this is a book for you. It’s also for just about anyone else occupying a senior management or professional role,” they said.
Marcus accepted the Award from Assistant Federal Minister for Industry, Innovation & Science Craig Laundy.
Marcus says inspiration for writing the book came from his daily experience as CEO of Digital Transformation consultancy WebVine, explaining that many organisations are struggling to realise their potential, held back by outdated processes and lack of a coordinated approach to Digital Transformation.
“There is so much opportunity for businesses to work more productively, to reduce the daily grind and enable people to give their best at work each day. Our clients come to us because they want to transform from a stressful, manual, repetitive environment to become a truly competitive, innovative business,” he said.
Marcus collaborates with companies such as Commonwealth Bank, Kennards Storage, Santos and Macquarie Bank to eliminate poor digital platform practices. In Digital Transformation from the Inside Out, he has taken the opportunity to share his 23 plus years of experience in the insider’s tips handbook style release which has achieved Amazon Best-Seller status in the Business and Investing, Computers and Technology and Organisational Change categories.
In the words of the Consensus judges, “We can unhesitatingly recommend this book to anyone in a senior management or professional role interested in transforming your organisation into one that works smarter, embraces improved individual and organisational productivity, and exhibits a vibrant workplace culture.”
